Adjustable screws with fixed or swivel bases and ball knobs

At Martin Høft, we offer still shoes/adjusting screws with both fixed, swivel bases and ball knobs, all of which meet different functions and options for adjustment.

Adjustable glides with fixed bases: Adjusting screws with a fixed base are suitable for furniture or machines where a fixed and stable position is needed.

Adjustable glides with swivel bases: Adjustable glides with a swivel base make the furniture stand firmly, and joints between base and screw can swivel so that the height of the furniture can be adjusted even if there is weight on a piece of furniture.  

Adjustable tilt glides: Adjusting screws, equipped with ball screws, provide a wide range of movement possibilities. The ball screw allows for movement in many directions. 

Heavy duty adjustable feet: Heavy-duty trapezoidal threaded adjustable screws are great for round pipes and can be installed in a wide variety of elements.  The nut makes the adjusting screw more stable. 

Adjustable glides in PA plastic, HDPE or metal

At Martin Høft, we produce adjustable glides / still screws in durable materials such as PA plastic (polyamide), which is known to be a durable plastic material, HDPE (high-density polyethylene) that is resistant to moisture, and metal, which is also known for its strength and durability. The majority of our adjusting screws are produced in recycled PA. 

Find the color and screw length that suits your requirements

In our selection of adjusting screws, you will find standard color black, but they can also be produced in other colors or ex with stainless steel cover or screw. If you want adjustable glides in other colors, they can be produced to order. Our stainless steel screws and other screw lengths can be embedded as desired. In both cases, a minimum amount or fee must be expected.

What do you use adjustable glides for?

Adjusting screws are perfect for adjusting and positioning furniture, machines and other elements. They make it possible to achieve an accurate horizontal and vertical position in relation to, for example, the slope of the floor or uneven walls. 

Which adjusting screws should I choose?

First of all, you need to consider what size you need so that the adjusting screw fits the element on which it will be installed. Pay attention to both thread length and size of thread on the adjusting screw, such as M4, M5, M6, M8 or M10 or larger. Think about the function of the adjusting screw - for example, should it be able to turn, stand firmly or have a flexible ball joint. It's also a good idea to invest in adjusting screws made of durable materials so they last longer.
