TPE - THERMOPLASTIC ELASTOMERS

TPE is a material, which can be processed as thermoplastic, but with rubber-like properties.
The material consists of PP with a dispersion of partially vulcanized EPDM, where the amount of EPDM determines the hardness of the material.

Typical applications are items, where you want rubber properties on items that are most economically produced by injection molding, ex. Spacers, gaskets, adjusting screws and pipe legs.

Density 0.9-1.0 g/cm³.

The material is available in hardnesses from Shore 50A to Shore 50D.

Good chemical resistance due to PP content, therefore also difficult to glue.

Maximum operating temperature, unladen 60°C. Certain types up to 100°C.
